Dr. Touni grew up in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his science education at Cairo University, were he received his Bachelor in Dental Surgery Degree, graduating with honors. He further continued his training and completed one year of General Practice Residency and then an additional 3 years in Prosthodontics.
Dr. Touni immigrated to the US in1998, he owned his private dental practice in San Jose for several years. In order to pursue his true passion in Orthodontics, Dr. Touni decided to sell his dental practice and attended the University of Pacific, where he completed a fellowship in craniofacial genetics, then Certificate in Orthodontics and his Masters Degree.
Dr.Touni is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics
Dr. Touni is currently serving as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Orthodontics at University of Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, teaches clinical Invisalign to the pre-doctoral dental students
Dr.Touni has participated in preparing several Rotaplast missions around the world to treat patients with cleft lip and palate during his fellowship years. He has participated in a mission to Lima, Peru to help diagnose and treat children and adults with cleft lip and palate. He joined a highly trained team of plastic surgeons nurses, and speech therapists.
Dr. Touni is a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, California Dental Association, and The American Dental Association
Dr. Touni is married and has 2 beautiful twin daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family. He listens to Classical and Jazz music, and plays Squash and Tennis. Dr. Touni also loves to watch Soccer in his free time.
